MANCUB Recycle Project Inspired by Second Hand September

MANCUB RECYCLE SCHEME

We’ve been inspired by the #SecondHandSeptemeber movement originally organised by Oxfam, and here at MANCUB HQ we want to do our bit to raise awareness of the environmental impact of fashion.

An unbelievable 11 million items of clothing end up in landfill each week, and the throw away fast fashion culture is putting an unsustainable amount of pressure on our planet.

Earlier this year we were proud to announce that our packaging is plastic free, but we now want to go one step further.

If you’re a MANCUB customer already, you’ll know that we are passionate about using quality fabrics and ensuring our clothes are built to stand the test of time, but there is another issue that is out of our control; the fact that your Cub’s grows, and they grow fast!

We’re asking you to keep those outgrown clothes away from landfill, and put them to good use. Instead of throwing away MANCUB pieces that no longer fit your Cub, please send them back to us.

We will be donate them to families in need via a Baby Bank, and in return for your kindness and effort in sending them back, we’ll send you a £10 voucher to go towards your next order on our website. This will cover the cost of your return postage, and a little bit extra as a thank you for joining us in trying to make the world a better place for the Cubs of the future.

Help our planet. Help those in need. Help your wallet.

Here’s how it works;

1)Please email [email protected] for a returns number before sending in any old MANCUB clothes. Unfortunately we are unable to accept any clothes retuned to us without a returns number.

2)Return address for MANCUB clothes; MANCUB Second Hand Returns, Suite 506 Middlewarehouse, Castlequay, Manchester, M15 4NT

3)Your order must include at least 1 MANCUB item to be accepted into our scheme, however we are happy to accept and re-distribute other brands alongside your MANCUB pieces if you have more to give.

4)We can only accept a maximum of 5kg of clothing.

5)Clothes must be washed and clean, with no holes rips or tears to be accepted. Please remember that the items you return will be donated to help other families, so the condition of the clothes must be reasonable. Please use common sense. We will not be able to accept anything that is dirty or badly damaged, and anything returned in this state will have to be discarded and will not be eligible for the £10 voucher

6)You are liable for any return postage costs, but don’t worry, your voucher should more than cover this

7)We will donate the clothes to a Baby Bank of our choice. We work with a range of Baby Banks across the country who all have different requests at different times. If you have any Baby Banks or charities you would like to refer or recommend, please email [email protected]

8)Upon receipt of your old MANCUB clothes, we will send you a confirmation email with the £10 voucher. This voucher will be valid on our website for 2 months from the day you receive it.
